A heartbreaking incident occurred in Langley on Tuesday night when a pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a freight train.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene at the crossing near Crush Crescent and Glover Road around 10:15 p.m. Unfortunately, despite their swift efforts to provide life-saving measures, the individual was pronounced dead on the scene.

Sgt Zynal Sharoom from the Langley RCMP reported, "Despite immediate life-saving efforts, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene." This tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the dangers present at railway crossings.
