John Vankka, a close friend, expressed his sorrow: "It’s just really heartbreaking to think about what happened. My friend went through so much pain, and I’m grateful for the overwhelming support here. I wish he could see how much love is surrounding him."

Sergio Gallinelli, a local resident who didn’t know Saxon personally, also stopped by to pay his respects, reflecting on the young man's untimely demise: "I drive past this road every day, and being the same age as Saxon makes it even tougher. You can’t help but think about how it affects families and friends — it’s terrible."

Authorities stated that the tragic incident unfolded when Saxon, driving a 2009 white Lincoln MKX, was struck by a 2011 white Lincoln MKX operated by a 47-year-old man. The collision occurred as the other driver attempted to merge into the same lane, sending Saxon’s vehicle spiraling off the road into a concrete traffic sign, where it subsequently burst into flames.

While early investigations suggest that speeding may have been a contributing factor, police confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs were involved in the crash. Shockingly, the other driver initially fled the scene but later returned. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are thoroughly examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
