Titled "Project Fade," this operation targeted suspected trafficking activities in the bustling west end of the city.

Undercover Operations Reveal Extensive Drug Network

The investigation, carried out by the Major Crime Unit of the 13 Division, honed in on suspicious activities in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue. After months of meticulous surveillance, authorities executed a search warrant at a business linked to the suspect.

A Staggering Find: Fentanyl, Cocaine, and More

Upon executing the warrant, officers were met with a shocking cache of various drugs: fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, hashish, and a significant stash of stolen liquor, among other items. The total estimated street value of the seized drugs reached an astounding $105,378, spotlighting the extent of the operation.

Suspect Faces Serious Charges in Court Appearance

The man at the center of this bust, 54-year-old Michael Nelson from Toronto, has been charged with multiple offenses, including drug possession and trafficking, and possession of stolen property. Although the charges are yet to be adjudicated in court, Nelson is set to make his first appearance on October 23.
