Nihal Sayyad, an amateur astronomer from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, captured this breathtaking moment on April 26, just hours after many in Europe and North America had their turn to view it.

"For a moment, it felt like the Universe smiled right back at me," Nihal recounted, sharing his thrilling experience on his website, wondersinspace.com. Though not an early bird by nature, his passion for astronomy motivated him to rise early, and at 5:25 AM, he ventured up to his terrace.

"Living in a small town had its perks," he noted. "The sky was crystal clear with fresh air, and everything seemed to align perfectly for this rare 'smiley face conjunction.'"

Despite the drifting position of the celestial trio, Nihal swiftly adjusted his camera settings for the perfect shot. By 5:43 AM, with his Fujifilm FINEPIX HS35EXR set to ISO 200, he brilliantly captured the stunning image that quickly became one of his favorites.
