The excitement kicked off when Carter Klippenstein, Carson Park, and Dylan Ronald each found the back of the net, giving Team Black a commanding lead. However, Team White wasn’t ready to roll over—Prabh Bhathal and Jaxon Jacobson made sure to put the pressure on, keeping the game suspenseful until the very end.

Wheat Kings head coach Marty Murray praised the intensity of the match, highlighting how the veterans set an impressive tone for the younger players. "It’s been a long week for these kids, especially those who also played in the prospects game yesterday. They really competed hard," Murray noted.

The opening period was a tactical battle, ending scoreless. However, Team Black’s top line soon came alive, with Klippenstein dazzling fans. After speeding up from his zone, he executed a backhand fake and confidently finished with a sharp cutback, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

"We fought hard and won our battles. We made great passes and shots, and we could’ve had even more goals! Playing with these guys was a blast!" Klippenstein exclaimed.

Younger Players Shine Bright

As the second period progressed, younger talents stepped up with impressive plays. A slick 2-on-1 maneuver saw Carson Park convert a beautiful assist from Tyler Magdalinski, extending Team Black’s lead to 2-0.

Their dominance continued into the third period, with Klippenstein once again making key plays, leading to Ronald’s stunning shot that found its way to the top corner.

Team White Fights Back

Despite the odds, Team White refused to give up. Bhathal managed to slip in a quick wrist shot, followed shortly by an exceptional 2-on-1 play that culminated in Jacobson’s goal, narrowing the gap to 3-2.

Although Team White had a late-game opportunity with a power play and an empty net, they couldn’t capitalize, allowing Team Black to secure their victory.
