After the Yankees managed to tie the game thanks to a couple of uncharacteristic errors from the Jays, the stage was set for an explosive response. Myles Straw’s stellar catch kept things level before the Jays erupted.

Andrés Giménez, who had already blasted a homer earlier in the game, continued the momentum with a solid single. Then, with the bases loaded, a pinch-hit by Addison Barger revealed yet another instance of catcher’s interference, paving the way for a crucial run.
