In a brazen theft that has taken social media by storm, Peel Regional Police (PRP) have detained four suspects connected to a notorious incident in Mississauga, where an 18-year-old woman was caught on camera stealing a luxurious Porsche Cayenne from a man's driveway.

The alleged thief, identified as Sarah Badshaw, turned herself in to authorities on September 19. Facing multiple charges, Badshaw was later apprehended by the Toronto Police Service (TPS) during a separate stolen vehicle investigation. Witnesses described the incident as jaw-dropping, as the theft unfolded in broad daylight, leaving the community in disbelief.

On September 18, police were able to locate the stolen Porsche Cayenne alongside a blue BMW X5 SUV, which was also involved in the theft and had previously been reported stolen in Toronto. This hints at a more significant underlying issue, sparking concerns about organized crime in the region.

Rainer Herschel Fernando, aged 36 and hailing from Toronto, finds himself in hot water, having been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, as well as possession of an automobile master key and obstructing a police officer. He remains in custody as his bail hearing approaches. Authorities have publicly released his photo in hopes of gathering more information about his possible criminal connections.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Steven Giselle Lopez of Toronto has been arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of an automobile master key. After being released under specific conditions, his image is set to be shared by police to aid in their investigation of other potential suspects.

In a startling development, one youth was apprehended with a replica firearm and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of a previous release order. Another youth faced similar charges for possession of stolen property. The identities of both youths remain undisclosed due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

PRP has indicated that these four individuals may be part of a more extensive organized group implicated in various criminal activities. As the investigation continues, authorities anticipate laying additional charges and revealing more suspects, raising alarms about the rising trend of car thefts and organized crime in the Greater Toronto Area.
