A 30-year-old woman is recovering in the hospital following a terrifying stabbing incident that unfolded Thursday night in a hotel room located in the heart of downtown Montreal.

At approximately 11 p.m., the Montreal police (SPVM) responded to a frantic 911 call reporting the violent confrontation in a hotel on Sainte-Catherine Street, close to Clark Street. According to police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils, tensions escalated dramatically between the woman and a male suspect during their time in the hotel room, leading to the victim being attacked with a sharp object.

Shockingly, the perpetrator managed to escape the scene before law enforcement arrived, leaving the woman injured and in distress. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where medical personnel confirmed that her injuries were concentrated in her lower body.
