Former UFC star Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson's son, Raja Jackson, is at the center of a disturbing police investigation after violently assaulting professional wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu, during a live-streamed wrestling event in Los Angeles this past weekend.

UFC veteran Matt Brown, who typically doesn't follow professional wrestling, expressed his shock at the footage on his podcast, The Fighter vs. The Writer. "If this was anyone other than ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s son, there would be zero sympathy. This situation is beyond messed up," Brown commented.

Legal Consequences Looming

The Los Angeles Police Department has classified the incident as felony battery after initially investigating it as an attempted murder. Yet, as of now, no charges have been filed against Raja.

Brown is skeptical that Raja can evade legal consequences for his actions, particularly given his fight training and the fact that Smith was unprepared for a real altercation. "There’s video evidence that leaves little to the imagination. This wasn’t a fight; it was an assault on an unsuspecting individual,” Brown stated.

In the fallout, fellow UFC fighter Sean Strickland suggested that Raja should seek rehabilitation rather than face incarceration. However, Brown firmly disagreed, stating that Raja deserves to face serious repercussions for this reckless and aggressive behavior towards an unarmed opponent.

Brown concluded, "This was far from a fair fight. Smith had no chance to defend himself, and that's unacceptable." He voiced hope that Raja Jackson will be held accountable, while also sending well wishes to the injured wrestler.
