Guelph Police Investigation

In a startling incident that has left the community in disbelief, Guelph police are investigating the sudden death of a 51-year-old man at a residential building in the northwest part of the city.

Authorities were alerted to the scene around 3 p.m. Tuesday for what was initially described as a wellness check.

Responding officers found the man unresponsive in his apartment located close to the intersection of Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue.

While the investigation is ongoing, police have stated that the case is currently categorized as a coroner's investigation. They have yet to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
