In a jaw-dropping turn of events, Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder was apprehended last Friday by Columbus Police during an undercover prostitution operation that netted a total of 16 men.

The Columbus Police confirmed Snyder's arrest to MMA Fighting after local news outlet 10TV broke the story. The sting aimed to target prostitution in the city, utilizing online escort ads to lure potential offenders.

Reports indicate that the 29-year-old wrestling star contacted an escort listed on one of the ads around 8:15 p.m. and arranged to meet at a hotel. Upon arrival, Snyder allegedly handed over cash to an undercover officer in exchange for oral sex, leading to his arrest on the spot.

Snyder was released shortly after and is scheduled to appear in court on May 19.

Known as one of the most decorated wrestlers in American history, Snyder made headlines in 2016 by becoming the youngest U.S. wrestler to earn Olympic gold. He then added a silver medal to his collection at the 2020 Games, narrowly missing out on a third medal at the upcoming 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Beyond his Olympic achievements, Snyder is a seven-time World Championships medalist and a three-time National Champion, having honed his skills at Ohio State University.
