A Disturbing Case Unfolds

In a shocking turn of events, a Calgary man has found himself facing serious sexual assault and child pornography charges following disturbing allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl.

The Investigation Begins

The Calgary police launched an investigation in November 2024 after receiving reports about a troubling relationship between a man in his 40s and a 14-year-old girl. According to the authorities, the man first crossed paths with the young girl two months earlier when she visited a friend in his northwest community of Rosemont.

Allegations of Assault

As their relationship escalated, the young girl began spending time alone with the man, culminating in alarming allegations that he sexually assaulted her.

Evidence Uncovered

In May 2025, police executed a search warrant at the man’s residence, leading to the seizure of several electronic devices. This search provided crucial evidence that would support not only the initial allegations but also unveil additional charges involving a second victim.

Support for Victims

Both victims are currently receiving critical support from the Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, a dedicated organization that assists young abuse victims and their families, providing them with the necessary resources and emotional backing.

Multiple Charges Filed

The accused, 48-year-old Bradley Scott Carrier, is facing a total of eight charges: the initial charges of sexual assault and sexual interference, along with six new charges related to child pornography, including making, accessing, and possessing such material.

Court Appearance Scheduled

Carrier has been released under certain conditions and is set to appear in court later this month, as the case continues to develop.
