Power Outages Sweep Across Central Newfoundland

Central Newfoundland is currently facing a multitude of power outages, with residents experiencing significant disruptions as crews scramble to resolve the issues.

Both Newfoundland Power and NL Hydro have reported a surge in outages, primarily attributed to the harsh weather conditions sweeping through the region.

Forecast Worsens with Heavy Snow and High Winds

As the situation develops, weather forecasts are projecting up to 15 cm of snow coupled with fierce winds reaching gusts of up to 80 km/h by this evening. This combination is exacerbating the power supply challenges.
