Massive Strike Action Unfolds in British Columbia

In a bold move, the union representing public sector workers in British Columbia is ramping up job actions, with more than 12,500 employees now joining the fight! This escalation has led to strikes at multiple locations, including key sites in Victoria, Penticton, Cranbrook, Coquitlam, and Kamloops.

Diverse Sectors Go on Strike

Workers from critical departments such as the Ministries of Health, Public Safety, Children and Family Development, and Transportation are actively participating in the strike, demanding better conditions and compensation. Just on Monday, the union revealed that employees from the BC Liquor and Cannabis warehouses and head office also threw their hats into the ring, bolstering the ranks of striking workers.
