According to BC Emergency Health Services, multiple ambulances rapidly arrived at the scene—two carrying primary care paramedics and one equipped with advanced care personnel. Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites confirmed that the first distress call came in at 9:11 p.m. regarding the alarming situation on Highway 1.
