Around 10:40 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police received reports of a parked vehicle being struck at the busy intersection of Victoria Street South and Walnut Street.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that the car responsible for the crash was a white Ford Fusion, which police believe has been stolen.

The driver, taking the opportunity to elude capture, reportedly fled the scene before officers could arrive.
