According to NASA, "Orbital views of Witch Hazel reveal layered materials that are remnants of a time when Mars had a vastly different climate. The light-toned bedrock found here closely resembles that seen at 'Bright Angel,' where Perseverance made its groundbreaking discovery of the 'Cheyava Falls' rock—an artifact that could potentially hold secrets about ancient life in a time of flowing water."

Unexpected Discoveries: The Mystery of the Martian 'Blueberries'!

Upon arrival, the rover was startled to find a collection of rocks on the rim of a crater that featured small spherical objects affectionately nicknamed ‘blueberries’ due to their bluish hue and rounded form.

Alex Jones, a Ph.D. candidate from Imperial College London, reported, "We observed various shapes, including elongated ellipses and angular fragments, suggesting some may be broken versions of the spherules. Curiously, a few even exhibited tiny pinholes!"
