But as the call progressed, the brutal reality hit: Liam had tragically fallen from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires at just 31. Weeks later, toxicology reports revealed a cocktail of cocaine, alcohol, and antidepressants in his system, indicating he may not have been aware during the fall.

Grief and Heartfelt Memories

Reflecting on her unimaginable loss, Cassidy described how sometimes she could speak about Liam without tears, while other moments left her speechless with grief. The way she found out about his death, alone in her home, lingers painfully in her heart. But she was soon surrounded by friends and family, including her mother, who offered the comfort she desperately needed.

"I just kept saying how much I love him and how I couldn’t wait for him to be back in Florida, where we had so many new beginnings ahead of us," she shared. But Liam, with a lighthearted laugh, interrupted, saying, 'Kate, you’re gonna miss your flight. You’re acting like this is the last time you’ll see me.' In hindsight, she finds that moment chilling yet beautiful.

Confronting Loss and Finding Signs

After Liam's passing, her friends showered her with love, even going so far as to delete social media apps from her phone to shield her from graphic images of his tragic fall. Kate attended his funeral, a heart-wrenching experience as it marked the first funeral she’d ever attended.

"At 25, the first funeral I have to attend is my partner's? It’s mind-boggling," she said, recalling trying on a black dress while wishing it were a wedding gown instead. "I should be putting on a white dress, standing beside him."
