As he reflected on the day, Ryan mentioned the difficulty of the holes, noting how they had to change clubs after various unsuccessful attempts. “We kept saying, ‘It’s an 8-iron, it’s an 8-iron,’ but after a few tries, we switched to the 7-iron. Normally, you wouldn’t be happy with an 11, but the crowd was cheering me on, so I had fun with it,” he said.
