Watch Out for the Delta Aquarids!

July 28 and 29 are primed for the peak of the enchanting Delta Aquarids meteor shower. Unlike other meteor showers that spike and wane, this one glows steadily with around 15 to 20 meteors visible each hour from mid-July to late August. As the month progresses, expect to see them intertwining with the Perseids, creating a spectacular visual feast!

Eager to catch a glimpse? Head away from city lights, ideally on moonless nights. The Delta Aquarids are notorious for their glowing trails—sometimes lasting several seconds—that make them stand out against the night sky. This natural phenomenon originates from Comet 96P/Machholz, which completes a solar orbit every five years.

But that’s not all! Late July will also witness the launch of the Crew-11 mission by SpaceX and NASA. This exciting venture marks the eleventh NASA Commercial Crew Flight, sending four skilled astronauts to the International Space Station.
