Get ready to indulge in delicious soups for a meaningful cause at the Alzheimer Society of Huron Perth’s highly anticipated annual fundraiser, "Soup's On!" This year’s event will take place on January 11 at the Stratford Rotary Complex.
Erin Dale, the Manager of Fund Development & Communications for the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth, expressed her excitement as the event celebrates a remarkable milestone: its 30th anniversary. “It's super exciting this year because it is our 30th anniversary,” she remarked.
In a generous gesture to commemorate this special occasion, local philanthropist James Hutton, a former resident of Listowel, will match every donation up to $30,000 in honor of his parents. This double the impact encourages even more community support!
This year’s event is set to be a fantastic day for all ages, offering an array of mouthwatering soups from local vendors, a silent auction featuring enticing items, a dedicated kids’ corner full of fun activities, and live music that will keep spirits high. Attendees are reminded to bring their own spoons, as it’s a B.Y.O.S (bring your own spoon) affair!
Dale emphasized the importance of local support for the community, stating, "All funds raised during the event stay local, so when you come out and support, you are directly impacting your own community."
Expecting around 2,000 guests, this family-friendly event operates on a pay-what-you-can admission basis with "Soupons," the official currency of Soup’s On, available at 5 for $5. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy hearty soups, connect with fellow community members, and support a vital cause! Join us from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and make a difference today!
