Jesse Eisenberg, known for his roles in major films, had a surprising take on his cameo in the beloved sitcom "Modern Family." While he enjoyed the show as a fan, he wasn’t keen on watching himself act.

During a recent episode of Jesse Tyler Ferguson's podcast, "Dinner's On Me," the actor revealed a quirky anecdote about Eisenberg's guest appearance. In a 2014 episode titled "Under Pressure," Jesse played Asher, an environmentalist neighbor. But when it came time to watch it, Eisenberg had a unique request: he asked for a version of the episode with all his scenes edited out!

Ferguson recalled Eisenberg’s humor, saying, "He really wanted to watch this episode, but only if the focus wasn't on him. So we sent him the cut version so he could enjoy it without seeing himself on screen." This kind of humility is rare in Hollywood.

Actor Alexander Skarsgard, who's worked with Eisenberg in the thriller "The Hummingbird Project," chimed in on the podcast, lightheartedly contrasting his own view of watching his performances. "I'm not like Jesse Eisenberg, who doesn't want to watch his work!" he laughed.

At the same time, Skarsgard shared fond memories of working with Eisenberg. At premieres, Eisenberg prefers to make a quick entrance and exit, stating they would "do the red carpet, introduce the movie, and then get the heck out of there." It’s clear that Eisenberg values his privacy and prefers not to dwell on the final product.

Despite being an Oscar-nominated actor, thanks to his role in "The Social Network," Eisenberg has openly discussed his sensitivity to public perception. Reflecting on his portrayal of Lex Luthor in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," he admitted that negative feedback from that role negatively impacted his career.

Yet, Eisenberg has continued to evolve in the industry, taking on roles behind the camera as well. His recent work, "A Real Pain," highlights his talents as a writer and director and received accolades, including an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

Eisenberg's journey from a fan of comedy to a sought-after actor—and now a multifaceted creator—demonstrates his dedication to his craft, despite his apprehension about public scrutiny. So, what does this mean for his future projects? Only time will tell!
