Stunning footage has emerged showing smoke billowing from a mountainside close to the incident site, as the Sea-to-Sky RCMP labeled the situation an 'unfolding' emergency. Local authorities are advising the public to steer clear of the Airport Road area to allow for rescue and response efforts.

Onboard the helicopter was an initial attack crew, typically consisting of three to four firefighters, all geared up to combat the active wildfires raging in the Pemberton region. Fortunately, fire information officer Forrest Tower confirmed that everyone aboard is accounted for, with no serious injuries reported.
