Urgent Appeals for Information in Vaughan Break-In!
In a shocking incident, the York Regional Police are calling on the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a late-night break-in at a local house of worship in Vaughan.
On the night of July 29, 2025, just after 11 p.m., a male suspect brazenly forced entry into the sanctuary near Bathurst Street and Lady Dolores Avenue. During his hours-long stay, he vandalized computers and audio equipment, all while making off with an array of stolen goods—including cash, alcohol, and food.
Witnesses reported the suspect slinking away on a bicycle, heading south on Bathurst Street, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Description of the Suspect
The suspect is described as: - Male, Caucasian - Approximately 25 years old - Thin build - Sporting dark, scruffy facial hair - Medium-length dark hair - Often seen wearing glasses
Interestingly, police do not currently classify this act as hate-motivated, but they are taking it very seriously.
