On Boxing Day, Victoria, her 12-year-old sister Madison, and their mother Amanda Reitmeier were struck by a driver in a stolen vehicle who was attempting to evade police. The chaos unfolded around 9:30 a.m. after a robbery at a Pharmasave on Millrise Blvd. S.W. During the robbery, a pharmacist was assaulted, and the suspect made off with a vehicle before leading police on a high-speed chase. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle ran a red light, resulting in a collision with four other cars.

Duane Arlen John Nepoose, 30, was apprehended at the scene and now faces numerous charges, including robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, and dangerous driving causing death. He remains in custody as the legal process unfolds.
