Jessie Cave, famously known for her role as Lavender Brown in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, has revealed a surprising twist in her career path. In a candid post on her Substack, she disclosed that her recent venture into the world of OnlyFans led to her exclusion from an upcoming ‘Harry Potter’ fan convention.
Cave expressed her disbelief stating, "I found out that I didn’t get booked for a ‘Harry Potter’ convention recently, as I’m now doing OnlyFans. They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show’ and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn. This was baffling to me as many actors at these conventions have starred in projects with nudity and sex scenes! I’m just playing with my hair!"
Feeling somewhat ‘canceled’ by the fandom, Cave noted that she’s ready to pass the torch to a new generation. "I’m not upset about this whole convention situation; it’s a different time now and a new cast is emerging. I've enjoyed my time in the Wizarding World, having done conventions for over 15 years, so I have plenty of memorabilia and photos to cherish."
Back in March, Cave announced her OnlyFans account, promising a unique experience centered around "the best quality hair sounds" and "very sensual content." While she clarifies that her content is not sexual, it caters to anyone with hair fetishes. As she put it, "fetish doesn’t necessarily mean sexual."
In her Substack post, Cave elaborated on her motivations for joining the platform, stating: "One year. I’ll try for one year. My aim? To make my home safer, pay off debts, and focus on self-love and empowerment. I’m determined to prove to those who’ve misjudged me that there’s more to my story!"
Cave first captivated audiences as Lavender Brown in 2009’s ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ and reprised her role in both ‘Deathly Hallows’ films. Beyond the Wizarding World, she's also starred in notable projects like ‘Great Expectations’ and had guest roles in ‘Black Mirror’ and ‘Industry.’
