2025-01-03

Author: Sophie

In an important effort to enhance public health in Nova Scotia, the Public Health Mobile Unit (PHMU) is ramping up access to essential immunization and testing services. Over the next few days, this initiative will host a series of clinics across various communities in the province, making it easier for residents to protect themselves against diseases such as COVID-19 and influenza.

The PHMU clinics will offer a range of vaccines, including COVID-19 and flu shots, and eligible individuals can also receive pneumococcal vaccines. The clinics have flexible booking options, including appointments and drop-in services. For the latest information on clinic schedules, residents can visit www.nshealth.ca/PHMU.

Here are some critical details for those looking to get vaccinated:

You can book a COVID-19 or influenza vaccine appointment online for individuals aged six months and older at novascotia.ca/vaccination.

For COVID-19 testing, visit covidbooking.nshealth.ca to schedule your appointment.

If you prefer to book by phone, you can call 1-833-797-7772 for any vaccine or test-related appointments.

If you’re interested in receiving a pneumococcal vaccine, the appointment can be booked through novascotia.flow.canimmunize.ca/en/vaccination-appointment.
