Exciting news for Vancouverites! This spring, the streets of downtown will soon be buzzing with Lime’s vibrant green shared e-scooters.

Lime has announced its ambitious plans to expand their scooter-share service into the bustling downtown peninsula, marking a major step in their mission to enhance urban mobility.

Starting this week, the company will begin installing strategically placed docking stations, working closely with city officials and local businesses to ensure the best spots are chosen.

Since its initial launch in September, which covered parts of East Vancouver, Lime aims for a future where their service reaches all corners of the city.

What sets this program apart? Unlike many other cities, Vancouver's e-scooter system mandates that riders return their scooters to designated docking stations. Additionally, there are slow and no-ride zones to ensure safety.

Riders will be restricted to streets with speed limits of 50 km/h or under, as well as safe greenways, bike routes, and the scenic seawall.

Since launching last year, Lime has reported that an impressive 6,000 riders have embarked on over 33,000 thrilling rides. Get ready to hop on one of these e-scooters and explore downtown like never before!
