The Beloved Saanich Strawberry Festival Is Back!

Attention, Victoria residents! Prepare for a delightful summer reunion as the 58th annual Saanich Strawberry Festival is returning to invigorate Beaver Lake Park next month!

This enchanting family-friendly festival takes place on Sunday, July 6th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is packed with entertainment, mouthwatering food, and a sense of community that locals cherish.

Strawberries and Ice Cream—A Sweet Tradition!

As always, the charming festival is set to attract thousands, famous for its leisurely ambiance and stunning lakeside views. And let’s not forget the star of the show: iconic strawberries paired with creamy ice cream!

This year, fans can enjoy this sweet treat from 2 to 4 p.m. (or while supplies last) for just $2 a bowl. A key change to note—no pre-sales this time! Attendees will form a single line starting at 2 p.m., where four cashiers and various payment options await.

Sustainability Takes the Stage!

In a progressive move, the festival will offer strawberries served in reusable stainless steel bowls, aiming to eliminate nearly 4,000 paper cups from the waste stream. Guests can savor toppings from local Mitchells Farm Market with a choice of Island Farms vanilla ice cream or Cold Comfort’s vegan Nice Cream.

Two Exciting Sites, Endless Fun!

Spanning two interconnected locations in Beaver Lake Park, the festival promises an array of activities. The Beaver Beach mainstage will be bustling with live music, food trucks, and informative booths, plus unique events like zucchini racing and bubble fun.

The Filter Beds will transform into a vibrant kids' zone, featuring art activities, bouncy castles, ponies for photo ops, and a dedicated stage for children’s performances.

Get ready to groove to the sounds of The Soul Shakers, Slim Sandy’s Atomic Cocktails, the Blasé Blasé, and the fantastic Commodores Big Band. Meanwhile, kiddos can enjoy entertaining shows from Pico’s Puppet Palace and more.

Due to limited on-site parking, attendees are encouraged to explore alternative transportation options. A complimentary bike valet will be available, and a free shuttle service will be looping between Saanich Commonwealth Place and the festival grounds all day.

Shuttles start running at 11 a.m., with the last return trip set for 4:45 p.m. Plus, BC Transit stops on routes 35, 72, and 75 are conveniently located near the park.
