Prices Plummet for P.E.I. Drivers!

Great news for residents of Prince Edward Island! As of April 18, 2025, the cost to fill up your gas tank has hit new lows thanks to the latest adjustments by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC).

If you’ve been dreading those high gas prices, now’s the time to rejoice! Regular and premium gasoline prices have dropped by 2.5 cents per litre, making driving a little less painful at the pump.

Current Gas Prices: What You Can Expect

After the price cut, P.E.I. drivers will see regular gas priced between 142.7 and 143.9 cents per litre, while premium versions are now accessible at 152.4 to 153.5 cents per litre.

Home Heating and Diesel Prices Also Decline

But that's not all! The price reduction extends beyond gasoline. Furnace oil and diesel have also seen a drop of 2.5 cents per litre. Homeowners can expect furnace oil to be capped at 112.6 cents per litre, while diesel prices now fall between 149.8 and 151.0 cents per litre.

Propane Prices Slip, Too!

In addition, propane prices have seen a decrease, with Avenir Energy dropping by 1.5 cents per litre, Irving Energy by 2.6 cents, and Superior Propane by 2.7 cents. Interestingly, Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum have slashed their prices even more—by 4.5 cents per litre!

After these adjustments, you’ll find propane prices between 91.3 and 92.4 cents per litre, making it a good time to check your tanks!

Stay Tuned for More Changes!

IRAC's next pricing adjustment is slated for April 25, so keep an eye on those prices—there may be more good news ahead!
