Free Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination Drive in Richmond: Don’t Miss Out!
This Sunday, November 10, residents of Richmond will have a fantastic opportunity to receive free vaccinations against both the flu and COVID-19! From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., four local Rotary clubs will host this vaccination event at the Yaohan Centre shopping complex, conveniently located on No. 3 Road, specifically on the second floor.
The vaccination clinic will be set up at Park Pacific Pharmacy, where individuals wishing to get vaccinated are encouraged to bring their government health service card for the registration process. The welcoming committee will include Rotarians and volunteers from the RC Richmond, Sunrise, Sunset, and Steveston, who will assist with greeting attendees, managing registrations, and organizing seating for both pre-vaccination and post-vaccination areas.
With multiple vaccination stations manned by at least four pharmacists, the clinic aims to accommodate a large number of people, especially those who struggle to schedule appointments during conventional weekday hours. This initiative provides an essential service for those balancing busy work schedules or those unsure about navigating appointment systems online or via telephone.
Pharmacist Edwin Lee, a dedicated Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen, has been effectively managing similar walk-in flu and COVID-19 vaccination clinics for two years. His expertise is invaluable, and the Richmond event will leverage his experience to ensure smooth operations throughout the day.
Walrine Wong from Yaohan Centre expressed gratitude, saying, “We are so happy for Edwin donating his time to show us how to serve the community. This is crucial for people who are occupied during the week or have difficulties making appointments.”
Don’t let this opportunity slip away! Mark your calendar for Sunday and join your fellow community members at Yaohan Centre for a chance to protect your health and the health of those around you. Rotary International proudly supports this initiative with 36,000 clubs and over 1.6 million members globally, dedicated to community service and health initiatives.
Stay healthy, stay safe, and take advantage of this excellent community service!
