Keena Takes a Step Back for Mental Health

In a heartfelt announcement causing waves in the K-pop community, it has been confirmed that Keena, a member of the rising girl group FIFTY FIFTY, has paused her activities due to battling Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This revelation follows startling reports by Dispatch on May 9, which detailed the challenges Keena has been facing.

A Harrowing Experience Unveiled

The situation escalated after Keena filed a serious complaint against An Sung Il, the CEO of The Givers, in August of the previous year. She accused him of forgery concerning her signature which was allegedly used to secure only 0.5% of the copyright for their hit song “Cupid.” This distressing ordeal led to an intense interrogation with An Sung Il on April 15 at the Gangnam Police Station, where Keena faced her accuser alongside her attorney.

The Emotional Toll

However, following this confrontation, Keena’s mental health took a significant downturn. Reports indicated she exhibited alarming PTSD symptoms including severe vomiting, auditory hallucinations, insomnia, and a complete loss of appetite. In light of these developments, Keena reached out to her agency, prompting a decision to prioritize her health.

Agency's Commitment to Keena's Well-Being

ATTRAKT, the agency representing FIFTY FIFTY, issued a statement confirming Keena's distress, saying, “After undergoing her interrogation with An Sung Il, Keena expressed considerable mental and physical distress. We've decided to temporarily halt her activities to ensure she receives the necessary care.”

FIFTY FIFTY's Recent Success Amidst Turmoil

Despite the turmoil, FIFTY FIFTY had just made a significant comeback on April 29 with their third mini album, “Day and Night.” However, with Keena unable to participate in their activities since the announcement, fans are expressing their unwavering support while hoping for her swift recovery. As the group navigates this challenging phase, the focus remains firmly on Keena's health and well-being.
