That would place him alongside MLB legends Yu Darvish, Hideo Nomo, and Kenta Maeda as only the fourth Japanese-born pitcher to achieve this feat. Though striking out ten hitters in one game is a tall order, Kikuchi has done it before this season and has a total of nine such games in his career. And with the Rangers having one of the highest strikeout rates against left-handed pitchers, today could be the day!
