The 78-year-old music legend shared with The Times, "I can't see TV, I can't read. I can't see my boys playing rugby and soccer." This candid admission highlights the emotional distress he experiences as he navigates this challenging period in his life.

In September, Elton took to Instagram to inform his fans about the "severe" infection that left him with only limited vision in one eye, explaining that his recovery would require time. Reflecting on his day-to-day reality, he said, "It has been a very stressful time because I'm used to soaking it all up. It's distressing." Despite this, he maintains an optimistic perspective. "You have to get used to it, because I'm lucky to have the life I have... So you say to yourself, just get on with it," he said, gesturing toward his remaining vision.

Elton, who shares two young sons, Zachary and Elijah, with his filmmaker husband David Furnish, has faced hurdles in his creative life as well. "The problem was three other people were involved, and I knew if I walked away, I would hate myself for the rest of my life."
