In a dramatic incident on Sunday, authorities are scrambling to locate a group of illegal migrants following a vehicle crash near the Canada-U.S. border in southern Quebec.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene in Hemmingford, Quebec, just north of New York, where two SUVs collided. One SUV held two passengers, while the other was packed with at least ten individuals.

Impaired Driving Charges Filed

The 48-year-old driver of the SUV carrying two people now faces charges for impaired driving, as per the Surete du Quebec (SQ). This alarming development raises questions about safety and responsibility.

Migrants on the Run

Authorities believe the occupants of the second SUV were attempting to cross the border illegally from the United States. The crash left four individuals hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while the remaining six to eight migrants fled the scene on foot.
