Free Paddling Event for Everyone

This Sunday, April 27, the Suncoast Paddling Club is opening its doors to the public for an exhilarating day of outrigger canoeing! Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a complete beginner, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a shot—at absolutely no cost!

President Bruce Layzell promises a fun and safe environment for participants aged six and up, with sessions running from 1 PM to 3 PM. All you need to do is show up and be ready to paddle!

What to Expect

Bring your family and friends along for some splashing good fun! The team recommends wearing comfortable attire that you wouldn’t mind getting wet. Don’t worry about gear; the club will provide everything you need, including paddles and life jackets.

Expect to spend about 20 minutes on the water, during which knowledgeable coaches will introduce you to the basics of outrigger canoeing. It’s a fantastic way to get a taste of the sport and decide if you’d like to join for the summer season!
