The excitement doesn’t stop there. Just days later, another insider revealed that discussions for a Costco gas station are underway, with proposals already in the works. If everything goes as planned, once groundbreaking begins, the store could be up and running in less than a year, marking a significant turnaround after years of silence.

Although the exact location remains undisclosed, rumors continue to suggest that Bell Boulevard West is at the center of it all. This site has been a hot topic since the City of Belleville invested millions to widen Bell Boulevard and add turning lanes, specifically aimed at accommodating a big-name retailer.

Back in November 2020, former Mayor Mitch Panciuk expressed the city's optimism regarding a Costco arrival, stating, "They are still very bullish on Belleville... It’s not a question of if, it’s when." Those words left many hopeful and eagerly awaiting news.
