Clint Eastwood is firing back against a fabricated interview that has taken the internet by storm! The legendary actor and director found himself the center of attention over the weekend when quotes from a supposed interview circulated widely.

In a bold statement issued to Deadline, Eastwood made it clear: he never sat down with anyone from the Austrian newspaper Kurier, which posted the dubious claims. "I can confirm I’ve turned 95. I can also confirm that I never gave an interview to Kurier or any other writer recently; the interview is entirely phony," he stated.

Initially, the fabricated interview had Eastwood discussing his new film in pre-production and criticizing the current trend of remakes and franchises. But it seems this talk was just a clever twist of fiction.

Kurier, based in Vienna and boasting a circulation of around 100,000, has not released any formal statement regarding the situation or explained how this misleading interview came to be.

Eastwood's last big-screen venture, 'Juror #2', featuring Nicholas Hoult, hit theaters at the end of last year. While fans eagerly await news of his next project, the iconic filmmaker recently reflected on his extensive legacy during an interview with Metrograph magazine.

"That would be up to them, to the audiences, to answer. I just kind of go along. It comes upon you—if you think too much about how it happened, you might ruin it,” Eastwood shared about the filmmaking process.

As the saga unfolds, one thing is certain: Clint Eastwood is not one to let falsehoods define his story!
