In a shocking incident that unfolded in Markham, Ontario, surveillance video captured the chaotic escape of five individuals following a midnight home invasion. This alarming event took place over the weekend, leaving the community on high alert.

According to York Regional Police (YRP), the audacious break-in occurred around 4:40 a.m. on June 22, when the suspects forcibly entered the home through a rear glass door while the homeowners were fast asleep.

Once inside, these brazen intruders assaulted one of the occupants with a weapon and aggressively demanded cash and jewelry. But they didn’t stop there — after their hurried heist, the culprits made a quick getaway in the homeowners’ Lexus sedan!

The released surveillance footage shows the suspects exiting the home, some of whom were seen carrying stolen goods. They scattered in different directions, with at least one suspect escaping in a white sedan.

Notably, all five suspects were dressed in black and wearing masks and gloves, raising concerns about the escalating crime in the area.
