Unbelievable Recklessness on Ontario's Highways
In a jaw-dropping incident, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Toronto driver who was not only dangerously speeding at a staggering 200 km/h but was also three times over the legal alcohol limit.
The Shocking Discovery After the Stop
The reckless behavior was highlighted in a post shared on X by the OPP’s Highway Safety Division. The driver was apprehended along Highway 407 in Oakville around 11 a.m. on a Sunday, raising eyebrows not just for the speed but for the circumstances surrounding the traffic stop.
When questioned by officers, the 25-year-old driver claimed he was simply 'running late for work.' This excuse did little to mitigate the charges that would follow.
A Closer Look Inside the Vehicle
Upon inspection, police found a concerning array of alcohol in the vehicle, including two 1.14 L bottles of Crown Royal whiskey—one of which was nearly empty—and two smaller bottles of Crystal Head vodka. This cocktail of chaos made the situation even more alarming.
