The beloved Boardmasters music festival in Newquay is gearing up for an upgraded experience in August 2025, with organizers implementing significant new security measures. Scheduled to take place from August 6 to August 10, the festival aims to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees following concerns raised during the 2024 event.

In a recent announcement on social media, Boardmasters revealed plans to increase security personnel by 20%. This boost will see additional staff positioned in key areas focused on crowd and behavior management, an essential step after an incident during the previous year's festival where a crowd surge resulted in seven hospitalizations due to injuries.

To enhance safety further, the festival will feature 25 additional entry lanes equipped for thorough searches of attendees' belongings. This proactive measure aims to streamline entry while ensuring a meticulous examination of all items.
