In a heartfelt new interview, Blake Lively sheds light on her tumultuous year, where she finds herself at the center of a high-profile legal battle.

Last December, the starlet filed a lawsuit against her "It Ends With Us" co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and orchestrating a retaliatory smear campaign. In response, Baldoni counter-sued, claiming defamation and extortion, with a trial set for next year.

Reflecting on her motives, Blake expressed to the New York Times, "I hope that my legal action helps expose these sinister retaliatory tactics that silence those who speak out against wrongdoing, and that it paves the way for others who might be targeted."

Though her legal team has kept a tight lid on details, Blake recently appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers, where she shared a glimpse into her family life with four young children. Laughing about her parenting adventures, she said, "No matter how my day goes, I have to be Disneyland every day for them. It's truly the best."

Acknowledging the challenges of the past year, she stated, "This year has been filled with extreme highs and lows. I can't discuss the ongoing legal matters much, but it has been an intense journey."

Blake touched on the fear many women face when it comes to speaking out, indicating that the very design of fear is meant to silence voices. "I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to share my experience, especially when so many are too afraid to speak up. It's the courage of women who have found their voice that keeps me strong and motivates my fight for a safer world for women and girls," she emphasized.

Last month, during her speech at the 2025 Time100 Gala, Blake hinted at the personal trials she's faced, stating, "I have so much to share about the last two years of my life, but tonight isn't the time or place. What I'll say is that being a woman with a voice today is incredibly powerful."
