“Jeff took me to Hawaii and then we planned to travel the world together before finally settling down in NYC. But instead, my Valentine’s Day was spent coordinating a place to live while I faced the reality of needing more testing and treatment,” she recalled.

The announcement regarding her cancer diagnosis has led Thurston through a whirlwind of emotions: despair, anger, sadness, denial, and ultimately, strength. “I cried a lot. I tried to even make a video instead of this post and couldn’t,” she wrote, reflecting the emotional toll the news has taken on her.

In a bittersweet turn of events, Thurston and Arcuri tied the knot earlier this month, holding an intimate ceremony in their New York City backyard with only their parents present. “We were wanting to plan a wedding, and there’s a lot of emotions that come in with chemo and the impact on our health.
