In a brazen act of criminality, York Region police have released stunning security footage of a home invasion in Vaughan that unfolded early Wednesday morning. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Timber Creek Boulevard and Major Mackenzie Drive West, shows a group of four suspects, one of whom brandished an axe.

The Night of Terror: How It All Went Down

The chilling video captures the moment one of the culprits approaches the front door, swinging an axe at the glass side panel with force. After shattering the glass, he reaches inside to unlock the door, allowing the other three suspects to join him in the home.

A Frightening Escape

Less than a minute later, the footage abruptly shifts to show all four suspects scrambling out of the residence to a waiting black SUV. Remarkably, despite their aggressive demeanor and demands for property, they fled empty-handed, and thankfully, no one inside the home was physically harmed.

Authorities have released limited descriptions of the suspects involved. The axe-wielding individual was clad in black clothing with a white T-shirt beneath a hoodie and concealed by a black mask. Another suspect wore a matching black hoodie and pants, accented with white shoes and gloves.

A third accomplice sported a grey and navy hoodie, complete with navy pants featuring a white stripe, and a white mask. Lastly, the fourth suspect, brandishing an expandable baton, dressed similarly in black but added white gloves to his ensemble.
