Alberta's Measles Outbreak Exceeds Expectations!

Alberta is currently facing a staggering measles outbreak, with the latest figures revealing a total of 365 confirmed cases as of Monday noon—an alarming increase of 39 cases since just Friday!

This shocking number surpasses the total confirmed cases in all other western provinces combined for this year.

South Health Zone: The Epicenter of the Outbreak

The hardest-hit area is Alberta's South Health Zone, which encompasses the communities of Taber, Medicine Hat, and Lethbridge. A staggering 30 new cases were reported in this region alone, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the province’s total measles cases—230 to be exact!
